This institute explores how innovative drugs and devices are developed and regulated. You will have the opportunity to visit regulatory agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH). You will meet with the government decision makers who control access to the market. You will listen to policy experts and thought leaders explain the ramifications of proposed regulatory initiatives. You will attend sessions taught by the faculty who teach FDA investigators and reviewers. You will solve case studies with regulatory and quality professionals from around the world. You will experience what it is like to live and work in the nation’s capital.

This institute is an international, multi-disciplinary program organized through collaborations between the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the European Center of Pharmaceutical Medicine (ECPM) at the University of Basel, Switzerland.
