The revised Team Diagnostic Survey (TDS) is an online survey instrument designed to provide insight into team effectiveness. This instrument was developed by Professors Richard Hackman & Ruth Wageman. The revised TDS assesses how well members work together, and their motivation and satisfaction level providing key performance indicators that can be used for individual teams, departments or organisation wide through a dashboard. The original survey was constructed by foremost team experts Richard Hackman and Ruth Wageman, based on Professor Hackman’s authoritative work, "Leading Teams". The work is now being extended by Ruth Wageman and her international team. Teaching materials are available for the 6 Conditions for Team Effectiveness framework. For individuals, there is a simple accessible online certification process which provides you with 4 hours of CPD as well as all you need to conduct the survey & download reports. For commercial organisations, there are options for in-house training and access to a customised business platform. The diagnostic & associated teaching materials and tools continue to be informed my research. Academic access for teaching & research is also available & made accessible through institutional access. You can access more information or register for the individual certification here at: or email for academic or enterprise options. Key contacts for these options are Ruth Wageman, Pauline Willis & Krister Lowe.

I have just corrected the information about availability as this tool is only made available free of charge for approved research purposes. General use does attract a fee. There is also an accreditation process available if people would like to develop their mastery in using the TDS.
